This is almost £14million worth of Goldfinger DB5s

Aston gathers together five DB5 Goldfinger Continuations for a special shoot

Published: 21 Dec 2020

This is NOT, we repeat NOT, what it looks like – a picture of five classic Aston Martin DB5s breaking down in fairly spectacular fashion.

These are actually five of the 25 DB5 Goldfinger Continuation cars, gathered together for a special photoshoot before Aston ships them off to their lucky, lucky owners in the USA, Europe and Middle East. It’s highly unlikely that this many will be gathered together ever again.

Remember, each of these things costs £2.75million plus local taxes. So you’re looking at very nearly £14million worth of cars. That astonishing price tag reflects the quality on display here – each car is a totally faithful representation of an original DB5, carefully augmented with beautifully engineered gadgets developed by Bond special effects wizard Chris Corbould (who’s worked on every Bond film since 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me). Each car takes 5,000 hours to make.

Drill down into the specifics, and find out what it’s like to drive such a wonderous thing, by clicking on these blue words. But first, enjoy the pics.
