Mountune Ford Focus RS MP350

Published: 13 Apr 2010

Cried into your He-Man pyjamas because you missed out on the Focus RS500? Well wipe those tears - because Mountune is offering a 345bhp-shaped comforter.

Yes, here to give road rascals the time of their lives, Mountune has announced its MP350 package for the Ford Focus RS - making it pretty much identical to Ford's own limited-edition RS500.

The MP350 package was indeed developed with those dastardly engineers at Ford's RS kingdom, and includes a new intercooler, a high-flow exhaust downpipe, a redesigned airbox, a better fuel delivery module and retricked electronic trickery.

All this adds up to two-tonnes of torque-steery fun courtesy of 345bhp and 340lb/ft of pulling power - the same as the RS500. The Mountune MP350 RS does the 0-62mph dash in 5.4 seconds and maxes out at 165mph. Expect to get better acquainted with trees and stuff.

The Mountune kit is also the only aftermarket jobbie which doesn't invalidate your warranty. Quite unlike the bloke three doors down from you who promises he can get exactly one billion bhp and ‘do Ferraris' in his RS.

We're very much excited by this news. Mountune is an engineering god. The Focus RS is a B-road butcher. Put the two together and you get a malevolent deity who also carries five in comfort.
