Watch a truck jump over an F1 car
This is a video of a really big truck jumping over a 2013 Lotus Formula One car. You must watch it immediately.
At this point, it'd be easy to make some sort of crass analogy to accurately reflect Lotus' 2014 Formula One season woes (eighth in the Constructors' championship with 10 points) and aforementioned truck, but... well, it's a video of a truck jumping an F1 car.
The stunt was set up by Lotus F1 sponsor EMC, "to demonstrate how we redefine motorsports (cue crass analogy) and set a new world record in the process". That record, says Lotus and EMC, now stands at 83ft and 7in for a truck jump. We're still waiting on the Guinness World Record team to get back to us for final confirmation, but whichever way you look at it, that's... far.
It's reported that the driver of the truck is a Fast and Furious stuntman, while the driver of the V8 Lotus F1 car did stunt work on the James Bond and Bourne movie franchises.
Like we say, you must watch this immediately. And please, don't try this at home.
