Video: BMW M5 drifts on the beach

This is BMW's precision driver, Wolfgang Weber, terrorizing seagulls and drifting the new twin-turbo M5 on Pendine sands.

Which has precisely nothing to do with the Olympics. But try telling the Bavarians that. Apparently, the video helps support the BMW London 2012 Performance Team athletes.

OK, so Wolfgang manages to draw what looks like the Olympics logo. But beyond that, we're struggling to see the connection between abnormally aspirated beach-based dori-dori action and an international sporting event in which more than 200 nations compete in a variety of athletic competitions.

We wholeheartedly support this spurious endeavor.
