Jamie Chadwick has won her second W Series title
Brit racer wins twice in Austin to defend her W Series crown
What a weekend for Jamie Chadwick. The 23-year-old won both W Series races at the Circuit of the Americas to retain the title she first claimed back in 2019 (the 2020 season was cancelled for obvious reasons).
It was a monumental effort from Chadwick, who went into the final race weekend level on points with fellow Brit Alice Powell. Powell even had the upper hand with more race wins to her name, but Chadwick was imperious in victory on both Saturday and Sunday.
The two wins also meant that Chadwick was on the podium for every race of the 2021 season other than the opener at the Red Bull Ring. That’s consistency for you.
This second title is perhaps even more impressive given that Chadwick has combined her exploits in the W Series this year with a drive in Extreme E and a role as development driver for Williams F1.
TG salutes you, Jamie.
