Relive the weekend’s F1 race at Suzuka as Lewis Hamilton takes victory
Moments. Fleeting moments of excitement pockmarking a race that probably won’t go down as legendary.
Still, there was enough to please; Hamilton’s move on Rosberg into turn one to snatch the lead, Rosberg’s move on Bottas to snatch third, Ricciardo and Massa coming together, Sainz taking out a bollard, and probably all of Max Verstappen,. Then of course, there were Fernando Alonso’s radio messages to his team.
So as we said, not the most exciting GP, but it had moments, including a rather lovely parade of historic F1 machines.
Here are some of the best images from Sunday afternoon at Honda’s home circuit.
