Fernando Alonso walked away from this crash

Initial TV footage only showed Gutierrez's car skidding off into the gravel, but the scale of the crash emerged once we saw what was left of Alonso's McLaren.

The Spaniard managed to climb out of the cockpit and limp away quickly - apparently so that his mum watching on TV 'wouldn't be worried' (aww) - and was later given the all clear by doctors. Thankfully.
