So, as a reminder, what d’you get for your money for the Launch Edition? In addition to the normal car’s 237bhp four-pot and 4.5-second 0-62mph time, you get carbonfibre trim, red or white paint, some posh badges, bi-LED lamps, a rear aluminium diffuser and bigger rims.

The Launch Edition also gets an extra sporty suspension setup, as well as colour-coded brake calipers, a rorty exhaust, aftermarket air filter, and new front air intakes. Oh, and if you buy now, you can take part in a special driver training program in Italy.

Otherwise, it’s par for the course. You still get the 1750 TBi engine, TCT dual-clutch transmission and top speed that we’ve been promised is north of 155mph. A confirmed release date is yet to come.
