Video: flame-spitting motorised drift trikes are a Good Thing

SFD Industries has taken a humble children’s toy and turned it into a drifting hot rod for your viewing pleasure

Published: 03 Sep 2015

To most people – mainly toddlers – the pedal-powered tricycle is a mere stepping-stone to riding a big boy’s bicycle.

However, to inherent man-children of the world, it’s a tool for hilarious sideways action. We know, we’ve seen it before.

But we’ve just seen the latest work of SFD Industries. They’re like one of those tuning shops in Need for Speed but specifically for trikes.

SFD has got everything you need to pimp up your wheeled tripod. Bigger, blingier front wheels? Check. A spangly new candy paintjob? No problem. And, most importantly, flashing underfloor neon lights? Easy peasy.

But there’s one mod SFD offer that’s really sparked our interest: a massive flame-spitting engine. This can only end one way. Epic skids. Or lots of scabs.

So click play above to watch a bearded man give the trike a big twist of throttle and plenty of opposite lock to see which one it is.
