This modified Porsche 911 looks like it belongs on a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier

Wider arches, bigger skirts and a GIANT wing enhance this 991-gen Carrera S, which you can now commission for just over £50,000

Published: 29 Apr 2024

This modified, road-legal 991-generation Porsche 911 Carrera S has so much wing it almost qualifies as a plane. Dubbed the ‘005’ and built by Warsaw-based tuner Indecent, it’s the brainchild of Sebastian Polit who wanted to spice up his own 991 - presumably to enable aerial flight. Oh, and after a surge in demand you can now buy the bodykit.

Aside from the bonnet, roof and door panels, the remainder of the body has been completely overhauled. The rear wheel arches, for instance, are now 13.5 inches wider than stock, with restyled front/rear bumpers and splitters and two-stage side skirts forming sections of the new look.

That rear LED bar also looks quite cool, doesn't it? It’s been pulled from the 991.2 and includes new lighting signatures manufactured by Indecent itself. It’ll slot in just beneath that rear wing, which is apparently active and glues the 005 to the tarmac more effectively.

But if it’s a bit too… in-yer-face, customers have the option of a retro ducktail spoiler. Lovely, albeit an instant relegation from Nimitz-class aircraft carrier to the hangars of Heathrow.

You may, at this point, be wondering what mechanical changes are present. Well, aside from new air intakes - which create a childish gurn-inducing suction sound - and a choice of either coilover or air-ride suspension, there are none. So it’s still using the 3.8-litre flat-six, sending just under 400bhp and 325lb ft of torque to the rear wheels.

But worry not, because Indecent has plans to create its own turbocharger specifically for this car, which should push it closer to a much fruitier 500bhp. Something tells us this lot won’t just stop at forced induction, either.

Speaking to TopGear.com, Polit explained the reasoning behind the 005: “Everyone who’s into 911s knows there are plenty of companies offering rebuilt, air-cooled examples, like Gunther Werks or Singer.

“But there are very few modifying modern 911s, so we decided to break that mould to give more life to these newer versions. Of course, there’s Techart and Mansory, but we wanted to mimic the sleek approach of OEMs more naturally.”

So, who’s ready for the really good news? Polit’s asking price for the entry-level conversions is just over £51,000 (or 60,000 euros). Currently, the second build is underway, with a third one in the pipeline for an unnamed American racing team.

Of course, that figure could climb a fair bit if you request further customisation. Particularly within the interior, since Indecent will offer you a fresh canvas to create your ideal space. First-class cabin from Singapore Airlines, anyone?

Having initially touched base with dealers Stateside, Indecent will soon offer the 005 - and its equally ludicrous siblings - to the rest of the world. We know you want one…
