This is a modified Aston Martin Vantage with 671bhp
German tuner liberates vast amounts of power from the baby Aston
Welcome to an Aston Martin Vantage with very nearly as much power as a DBS. That’s right, German tuner Wheelsandmore (much, much more, as it happens) has turned the baby Aston’s 4.0-litre, twin-turbo AMG-sourced V8 up from 503bhp and 505lb ft to a ridiculous 671bhp and 605lb ft. That’s only a few horsepower shy of the much bigger V12-engined DBS Superleggera.
Wheelsandmore claims the top speed of the Vantage is now over 205mph, while 0-62mph takes 3.3 seconds. A tenth of a second faster than the DBS.
The tuning company says it already has a lot of experience with this engine, which is also fitted to almost every AMG. To make that kind of power, there’s the obligatory software upgrade, plus physically bigger turbochargers, a trick exhaust and different catalytic converters. Prices haven’t been released, but Wheelsandmore’s ‘Stage Three’ kit for the AMG GT, taking it up to the same 671bhp as the Aston, costs just over €16,000.
You can also have some wheels with your more. The company offers “carbon-look” alloys in 21- or 22-inch diameter. Neither style is to our taste, but to each their own.
Tempted to package your Aston off to Germany for Wheelsandmore to do its thing?
