Marc Philipp Gemballa’s 750bhp+ Marsien off-road 911 is completely sold out
Bad news if you wanted an off-road 911 that’s much more expensive (and more powerful) than a Dakar…
Back in 2021, Marc Philipp Gemballa (the son of late German tuner Uwe Gemballa) unveiled an off-road ready supercar that he called the Marsien.
It was to be a reworked 992-gen Porsche 911 Turbo S with an all-new carbon fibre body, an engine tuned by RUF, an exhaust developed by Akrapovič and long-travel suspension supplied by KW Automotive. Oh, and it was to be sold under the brand Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH, because Marc didn’t own the rights to Gemballa GmbH.
Still, those naming issues haven’t held Marc back, because we’re now told that the Marsien has entered full production. The only problem? All 40 examples are already sold out.
Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH (yeah, bit of a mouthful) has apparently developed 422 bespoke components for the Marsien, and the 3.7-litre flat-six engine now makes over 750bhp and 686lb ft of torque. Good grief. Although, if that’s not enough buyers will also be able to spec a stage two power upgrade. That brings new turbos, a new ECU map and revised transmission settings for a total output of 830bhp. We’re not told how many of MPG’s customers have ticked that specific box.
We are told that each Marsien will be completely unique, though, and that testing has been carried out in the Arabian desert, on the glaciers of Sölden and on the Nürburgring. More as we have it.
