This is Lumma Design's Audi Q8
German tuner gives Audi Q8 a makeover. For the better?
If you want your big, brash SUV made even bigger and brasher, you simply have to send it to Germany. It’s the home of countless tuners – Brabus, ABT, Mansory, Novitec and AC Schnitzer to name but five – all of which specialise in making already quite expensive, quite bold sportscars, supercars and (especially) SUVs even more so. With varying degrees of success.
So where does Lumma Design and its Audi Q8 sit on this spectrum of tastelessness? That’s for you to decide. Scroll down to the comments and let us know exactly what you think of this German tuner’s efforts.
First, some informations. Renamed the CLR 8S, Lumma’s creation is bedecked with spoilers and skirts. It has a whopping great bonnet vent, wheels of either 22- or 24-inches diameter, aggressive new front and rear bumpers and much wider wheelarches.
Many of the bits can be purchased separately, and optionally finished in carbon fibre. Lumma also says it offers powertrain and interior upgrades, but gives no details for either.
Good? Bad? Somewhere in between?
