Liberty Walk’s wild new R32 Skyline body kit is inspired by Super Silhouette racing
Dubbed the ‘Kaido Works’ package, the 11-part set will cost around $29k
Unbelievably, this thing started life as an R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R before Liberty Walk got its hands on it.
It forms part of a new $29,260 (£24k) package offered by the noted Japanese tuner, which includes almost every exterior panel and bolt-on you see in the pictures above. Yes, that includes the ridiculously flared arches, sharp splitters and tall rear wing.
Wondering why this outrageous body kit looks so familiar? LW said it takes its inspiration from Japan's Super Silhouette series. It was a competition with minimal regulations, where manufacturers took their everyday, run-of-the-mill family saloons and gave them audacious body kits and, in some instances, as much as 600bhp. At a time when the average ‘fast’ road car produced no more than a quarter of that.
The series was canned in 1983, six years before the R32 entered production, so the two worlds never collided… until now. What do we reckon folks: yay or nay for Liberty Walk’s latest foray?
