Ford's new 'Performance Parts' add power and NOISE

And they won't void your Focus RS or Mustang's warranty. Result

Happy days, European fans of all things fast and Ford-y. The Blue Oval has released a range of “high-quality, tailor-made, Ford-approved performance parts” that a) can be fitted at your local dealer by a “specially trained” technician and b) won’t void your warranty. 

Available for the Fiesta ST, Focus ST and RS and the Mustang, the parts are engineered by Ford and specialists like Roush, Borla, KW and Remus.

The range offers chassis and suspension upgrades, exhaust systems, engine tuning, and styling options, all designed to make your fast Ford faster. Or at least look it. These include coilover and shock absorber kits that deliver up to a 40mm reduction in ride height and lightweight alloy wheels, while the Mustang gets its own specific offerings.

There are stainless steel Borla exhausts in 'road-legal' and 'track-only' variants, while Mustang V8 owners can also get Performance Calibration Power Packs that, as well as presumably increasing power, up the engine’s rev limit to 7,500rpm. There’s also a supercharger kit – compatible with either auto or manual transmissions – that ups power to north of 600bhp. Pity neither of these are homologated for use on the road, but still...

Ford will be showing all the bits off at this weel's Essen motor show, alongside its Ken Block-approved ‘Drift Stick’, which replaces a Focus RS's handbrake with an aluminium lever that mimics the action of a hydraulic handbrake. No confirmation on whether it'll be ever offered for sale in Europe alongside these other parts, but we live in hope...
