Calling all traders: the Ford Transit Custom van you need has arrived
German tuning outfit Loder1899 transforms the humble Transit Custom into a cover star
A German tuner has revealed a new bodykit for the Ford Transit Custom, which is a sequence of words not often strung together. Though if you are a trader/commercial vehicle customer/van enthusiast, we suspect words will have failed you altogether.
Because this thing looks absolutely brilliant. Welcome to the Loder1899 Ford Transit Custom Street. Loder1899 is not an old YouTube account or a gamer tag, but instead “the esteemed sister company of delta4x4”, the latter a fine purveyor of a horde of modified off-roaders.
Unlike the Transit, details on the modifications are thin, though thine eyes will guide you through the big ticket items. Like “elegant” new arches, a new front bumper, an “innovative grille without the Ford logo”, and a redesigned rear bumper with a “suggested” diffuser. What it’s suggesting remains unknown. Maybe it’s ‘suggesting’ some form of expletive.
Elsewhere there are wonderful 20in ‘classic’ wheels in matt black, that together with the lowered suspension apparently give the Transit Custom Street better road handling. Which is just the sort of thing commercial vehicle enthusiasts have been crying out for.
No mention has been made of any engine enhancements, but considering Ford’s own history with mad vans, surely some kind of rocket packaged into that angry new nose is on the cards?
“Whether for business purposes or as an individual lifestyle companion, the Loder1899 Ford Transit Custom Street will stand out from the crowd,” the company said.
Loder1899 has also supplied an image of this Street version alongside another pair of modified Transits, each of them equally desirable… which is a sequence of words not often strung together. You want one, right?
