Callaway C16 Cabrio news - Power hungry - 2007

Published: 20 Mar 2007

Callaway is to Corvette what AMG is to Mercedes: both reside at the very fast end of the spectrum.

For its latest Corvette project, Callaway has chosen the New York International Auto Show in April to take the wraps off its C16 convertible.

Not happy with the Z06 'Vette's 505bhp, Callaway has upped this to 560bhp to realise 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds and nudge top speed over the 200mph mark.

Still not satisfied with this? Then why not order the performance pack that further increases power to 616bhp.

Each Callaway C16 gets a gentle restyle to distinguish it from a standard Corvette, so look out for the different rear lights, upgraded interior trim and numbered plaque.

The Callaway conversion costs around £40,000 on top of the price of a Corvette base car and the performance pack adds a further £6,000 or so, which seems like good value to us.
