Maserati GranTurismo S news - GranTasteless? - 2008
The GranTurismo S has never struck us as a car that needs much visual enhancement, but that hasn’t stopped Maserati going ahead and bedecking it in a whole bunch of extra carbon fibre and stuff.
Unveiled at the Bologna Motor Show to hail the arrival of the MC Sport Line customisation program – Maser’s how-would-you-like-it-sir? scheme to allow customers to put their own, er, distinctive touches to their car – the Gran Turismo S features front and rear carbon fire spoilers, carbon fibre side skirts, carbon fibre wing mirror housings, carbon fibre door handles, carbon fibre door sills, a carbon fibre steering wheel rim and carbon fibre dash.
So they’re keen on the old carbon fibre.
It’s not all cosmetic, mind. The GT S also gets a new stiffer suspension set-up that drops the ride by 10mm and guarantees a close relationship with your osteopath.
No word on the price of all these customisations, but we’re guessing they won’t come cheap. If you’re feeling the squeeze, however, what about this instead?
