Porsche is rubbish at Photoshop
Look at this picture of the new, spangly 919 out testing at Monza. Now look a bit closer. Right a bit. Yep - that floating mechanic has NO LEGS. Amazing. Porsche can build a V4 hybrid Le Mans weapon, but it still can't get the hang of digital picture editing software.

This video shows pro skateboardist and general lunatic Rob Dyrdek setting the Guinness World Record for the longest reverse ramp jump in a car. 89ft and three inches, people. Proof that the Chevrolet Sonic (or Aveo over here), is extremely backwards.
Hennessey is still mad as a brush
Texan tuner John Hennessey hoisted two turbos onto the new Corvette's 6.2-litre V8, and now it makes 707bhp and 661 lb ft of torque. That means it'll hit 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, run a 10.5-second quarter mile, and reach an estimated top speed of 210mph. Yours for £71,820. You just need to float it over from the States. And renew your life insurance policy.

The Florida-based speed boatists and death-cylinder proponents at Cigarette Racing were so taken by the vapourware AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept that they built a floating tribute. The one-off 140mph hat-tip is powered by two Mercury Racing engines delivering 1,650 horsepower each. EACH. And unlike the VGT, the company will build it - all you need is to stump up the $1.5m asking price...
We love Poland and its insane hill-climbers
This is the finest 15 minutes of hill-climb footage you'll ever see. Taken from the Gorskie Samochodowe Mistrzostwa Polski (GSMP) Polish Hillclimbing Championship, there are many crashes, and some incredibly large gentleman vegetables on display. Also, congratulations to the Astra GSI driver, winner of our inaugural Keeping it Pinned Freaking Constantly award.
Chevy's actually quite sweet
Remember that sink-hole disaster on Wednesday that consumed some cars from the National Corvette Museum? Well, Chevrolet's head office has announced that it'll (a) fish the cars out and (b) oversee restoration of the Corvettes damaged. "The vehicles at the National Corvette Museum are some of the most significant in automotive history," said Mark Reuss, executive vice president of General Motors Global Product Development. "There can only be one one-millionth Corvette ever built. We want to ensure as many of the damaged cars are restored as possible so fans from around the world can enjoy them when the Museum reopens." Bless.
That you can disassemble an engine in eight minutes

...but it did make us laugh. As you probably spotted, there was a slight mishap during the Winter Olympics opening ceremony, where one of the five Olympic rings failed to open. Some crafty Photoshopper made this tribute to Audi. Porsche, you may want to give said crafty Photoshopper a job.
Volkswagen has the ultimate first-world problem
VW-owned Bugatti has too many Veyrons. According to Bloomberg, around 40 Grand Sport and Vitesse convertibles remain unsold, and the company's only willing to start production on its replacement once they've all found homes. Do it for the petrolhead nation, millionaires.Advertisement - Page continues belowJacques Villeneuve will race a Peugeot 208 in Rallycross
Yes, this is former Formula One world champion, Indianapolis 500 winner and Le Mans driver Jacques Villeneuve, standing next to a Peugeot 208 in race livery. He will contest this year's World Rallycross (not to be confused with ‘Global', Rallycross, or indeed ‘Interplanetary' Rallycross) in the baby Pug for the entire season. It's also not actually a baby, either, because it has 600bhp. And Villeneuve is very excited about driving sideways in a 600bhp, four-wheel-drive Peugeot 208 over loose tarmac. "I am very excited about driving sideways in a 600bhp, four-wheel-drive Peugeot 208 over loose tarmac," he clarifies.
