Pagani's off to China
Pagani's taking its Huayra supercar to China, and to mark its arrival has unveiled three new special editions. Painted red, blue and gold, their colours signify three different dragons from Chinese legend.
There are also accompanying side graphics and a rather curious rear fin spoiler. Performance remains the same, a twin-turbo V12 sending 730bhp to the rear wheels. Paganis have never been for the shy and retiring, but these three are even bolder than normal. Fancy one?Advertisement - Page continues belowA F1 car will overtake everything on trackdays
Even one that wasn't very good. This probably isn't revelatory news, we'll admit. But the sheer dominance of the 2001 Arrows A22 in this video that's surfaced this week is still a beguiling watch.
The Mini and BMW it passes are easy meat. But if you've even been in the company of a Radical on a trackday, seeing just how foolish it's made to look down the Zolder pit straight is quite jaw-dropping.
How safe such an exercise is can be argued elsewhere; the driver's levels of skill and awareness are wholly appropriate for the car he's in, potentially frightening closing speeds minimised by some sensibly early braking when a car is negotiating a corner ahead. Thumbs up from us.Seat's made a car out of lingerie
Sexing up a city car isn't always easy, so Seat's had a bash by making a Mii out of lace, a material more typically used for teasing underwear. Seat used 45 metres of the no-doubt-deliberately-named ‘nude coloured cotton lace' to craft the car, with black lace used for the wheels. Ooh. It took eight people three days to put the lacey Mii together. See the construction on video here.Advertisement - Page continues belowYou can donate'n'bake with a TG cake
[charitable plug]
Tonight sees the Children in Need extravaganza on telly, and if you need any convincing to donate a handful of change from your pocket, then this could be it. Throw a couple of quid in the bucket and you'll get a recipe for a Top Gear cake in return.
With chequered flag sponge and icing that celebrates the iconic Fuchs alloy wheel (familiar from classic Porsche 911s, as you no doubt know), what tastier accompaniment is there for when you're watching reruns of TG? Click here to donate'n'bake.

At least in manga cartoons they can, anyway. As if to justify how bonkers its Aygo looks (and it certainly does alongside the rest of the company's vanilla hatchbacks), Toyota has produced a wonderfully quirky manga animation in which a young lady uses the deconstructed facia of her Aygo to battle a Godzilla-like monster.
Such overt marketing can often be more than a little naff, but there's something quite cool about this. Traditional types will be pleased to know the YouTube video is accompanied by a limited edition print comic. The Porsche 911 has outsold the Cayenne
The Cayenne has been fuelling debates for over 12 years now, but at the same time it's also been fuelling Porsche's profits and therefore, as we're frequently reminded, the development budgets of lovely stuff like the 918 Spyder.
The Cayenne outsells Porsche's other models with regularity, its position seemingly only under threat by the roaring success of the new Macan. Not last month, though: the 911 hit the top of Porsche's sales charts in October as it storms to record annual sales.
Normal order ought to be resumed this month now the facelifted Cayenne has arrived, mind...Audi's ferret-proofing its cars
Speak to many German drivers and one of their biggest worries isn't being aggressively collected by the front of a 155mph repmobile as they merge onto motorways. It's stone martens.
"What?!", we hear you say. The stone marten is a ferret-like creature that has a rather inconvenient habit of burrowing into car engine bays when it's a bit parky outside. Inevitably, a few vital components normally end up a bit chewed in the process.
Audi wants to put a stop to it, so it's rigged some cameras to an A3 and watched the martens at work to try and solve the problem. Click to watch the video, though your German will need to be sharp if you've got your speakers turned up.Advertisement - Page continues belowFormula 1 doesn't need kids
Bernie Ecclestone reckons F1 doesn't need young fans. Why? Because they can't throw their pocket money at the fancy watches and bank accounts his sport advertises.
"I don't know why people want to get to the so-called 'young generation'. Why do they want to do that? Is it to sell them something? Most of these kids haven't got any money," overlord Ecclestone told Campaign Pacific-Asia.
We've got a feeling some of you may disagree with his sentiments. Be polite, kids...There's a LaFerrari XX and it's going to be FAST
Several lucky buggers from the TG office have been absent this week, stationed in northern Italy producing THE group test of the decade - LaFerrari vs P1 vs 918 - which you can read the results of here.
If you're concerned the 950bhp LaFerrari can barely move its own weight, though, then you're not the only one. TG's got the exclusive inside line on the LaFerrari XX track special ahead of its grand unveiling next month. Complete with 1050bhp, it can make even the McLaren P1 GTR blush. New Jersey police are catching and fining drivers who don't stop for crossing pedestrians... with the help of Donald Duck. It seems an officer dressed as the oversize clothes-wearing pond-dweller has been nabbing any drivers who've not stopped as he's waddled across the road.
It was a trick used on Halloween to try and combat how many pedestrians are struck by cars in the area, but some locals aren't happy. One driver is fighting a $230 fine, claiming Donald scared her so much she carried on where she'd have stopped for a regularly dressed human being...
