A man has set his Lamborghini on fire in London
Not deliberately, it must be said, though he didn't help his cause by relentlessly revving the nadgers off it. Needless to say, making a ton of noise with your £260,000 Aventador in the bustling centre of London attracts an onlooking crowd, so there were plenty of people on hand to watch and film the drama unfold.
The video that's emerged oddly has ‘design flaw' in its title; there's nothing to confirm this and it could be the only flaw is now in the driver's ego...

We defy you not to coo with childish delight at the notion of Paddington Bear being dressed by Rolls-Royce. It's happened: ahead of the big-screen release of Paddington later this month, RR has given the lovable bear a new getup to help raise funds for the NSPCC.
RR's PB gets a brown leather duffel coat, a cravat, hat ribbon and of course, a set of MK8 racing goggles, "that pay an elegant tribute to Rolls' prowess as a gentleman racer". This is excellent.
50 Paddington Bear statues will be placed across London landmarks, with RR's version - hand-built by the company's ‘Bespoke' people in Goodwood - situated in Mayfair. He'll sit on a plinth made up to resemble the grille of a Rolls.Manchester United players don't like Corvettes
They may not be the last word in sophistication, but we'd wager a lot of you would do bad things to have a proper go in a Chevrolet Camaro or Corvette Stingray.
The same can't be said for Man United's Premier League footballers, though. The team's main shirt sponsor is Chevrolet - thanks to a deal worth a slightly bonkers £47million per season - and as a result 15 Corvettes and Camaros were delivered to its training ground for the players to use.
Alas, Messrs Rooney, Van Persie et al have stuck to their Range Rovers, Porsches and Mercs, and reports suggest the Chevys are sitting there feeling sorry for themselves. Oops.Advertisement - Page continues belowMcLaren's new supercar will be called the Sports Series
The car previously referred to as P13 - its internal codename - has been christened the McLaren Sports Series, and it will make its first appearance around spring 2015. Word is that each iteration of the series will get its own, motorsport-inspired moniker.
What do we know so far? It's set to sit below the 650S and P1, taking on the upper echelons of the Porsche 911 range. Like its bigger brothers, it will utilise a carbon fibre chassis and a mid-mounted V8 engine, one we'd expect to have a couple of turbochargers attached to it.
It's also fair to expect a drawn-out teaser campaign, McLaren announcing its choice of name alongside the hashtag ‘#BlackSwanMoments' and the image above. Just show us the car already...A man has collected his immaculate BMW M1 Procar and you've stopped reading this already
The BMW M1 Procar in the picture above was built in 1979. Over the last few years, it has been restored by BMW's Classic customer shop to a near factory-fresh finish, and handed back to its owner.
This isn't normally news, but then the BMW M1 Procar isn't exactly normal. Just 54 Procars were built, and they're all stunning. The lucky bugger who owns this one is Japanese entrepreneur and President of the BMW Club Japan Masakuni Hosobuchi.
It gets a Nürburgring-spec paintjob, signifying Nelson Piquet and Hans-Joachin Stuck's class victory (and third overall finish) at the 1980 1,000km Nordschleife race. Oh, and an M Division-derived 3.5-litre straight six engine tuned to around 470bhp. Nice. There are just two Gemballa Mirage GTs left for sale
Way, way back, Gemballa decided to tune the Porsche Carrera GT for reasons Top Gear still doesn't fully understand. The infamous tuner announced a run of just 25 cars. News has reached us this week that the last two cars will now finally be built, ready to slot into any self-respecting collector's, um, collection.
You'll know the stats, naturally: power from Porsche's rather fabulous 5.7-litre V10 rises from 610bhp to around 670bhp and 464lb ft of torque, thanks to some tuning, including a new exhaust system, along with a full carbon fibre body kit.
And if you're still in doubt, it'll go from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and top out - where permitted - at 208mph.
"The new Gemballa star may well become an even more exclusive counterpart to McLaren's P1 and Ferrari's LaFerrari," says Gemballa. Your call.An ultra rare Bugatti has come up for auction
Forget the paint-und-trim Veyron special editions, because this really is a rare Bugatti. It's the old EB110, and this one here is the sixth model produced from a run of just 139 cars.
So it's proper rare, then. Underneath the blue paintjob sits a quad-turbo V12 engine churning out as many of its 550 horses that have managed to stay since 1993; same goes for that quoted 213mph top speed.
This example has been owned by a Japanese collector who ‘drove it in Europe and Japan', and is expected to fetch up to £480,000 at RM's Arizona sale. Also on the list? A Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959 ‘Komfort'. Yeah, best to head down to Arizona, then.Advertisement - Page continues belowRichard Hammond's stuffed a Jag F-Type
This week we've seen the latest teaser trailer from Jeremy and Richard's Perfect Road Trip 2 DVD. If you need a recap, the telly boys are travelling 500 miles though Italy's prettiest parts, using McLarens, Alfa Romeos and Ford Capris. Yes, really.
But day two doesn't go particularly well for Hammond. A bit of exuberance on track in an F-Type results in a rather unfortunate Jag/wall meet-and-greet.

It's a Volvo estate in a pair of wellies. Volvo's handsome V60 has been given a 65mm ride height increase, some hard-wearing plastic trim, side-mounted scuff plates and front and rear skid guards to create the ‘Cross Country'.
It is of course, a V60 with a smidge of off-roading ability; a car that, says Volvo, is the perfect ‘getaway car'. No, not that kind of getaway. All UK cars will come in diesel flavour only, with the FWD versions getting the new engine family, while the 4WD versions get the old D4 five-pot diesel.
Expect to pay around £27k when it lands next July. #POSHWELLIES.Advertisement - Page continues belowAn Australian man has driven his plane to the pub
And that's before he'd had any beer, the ‘driver' passing a breathalyser test at the scene. The 37-year-old travelled to his drinking establishment in Newman, Western Australia without wings or any form of steering, the propeller taking him in a straight line from one end of town to the other.
Police described the man in question as a "local character" before refusing to see the funny side, declaring it a "serious incident' that endangered local kids that had just emerged from school. So there is, if you needed it, some clarification: planes are for the sky, not the road.
