Lamborghini news - Bull runner - 2009

Published: 14 Jan 2009

Dodgy car dealers usually hang out in seedy East End lots, selling rusty cut-and-shut Fiestas to pensioners while doing their best Frank Butcher impression.

But it seems they’re branching out and going Stateside, to sell Lamborghinis at rock bottom prices.

The owners of Lamborghini OC, California (where the residents are more orange than the local fruit) have gone and shifted 56 cars in eight days, all at a huge discount. They then stuffed all the cash in what we imagine was a big comedy briefcase and drove off to blow it all on slot machines in Vegas. Or something.

Unfortunately the cars were paid for by parent firm VW, who’d financed the lot and now have a big hole in their balance sheet. So they’d quite like their money back.

Which is why they’re suing the dealership for 12 million dollars. Ouch.

At least a few Californians got they’re hands on some cheap Lambos mind. Let’s just hope the dealer threw in some mats and six months tax to really sweeten the deal.

So keep an eye out on Auto Trader. You never know what might turn up…
