Should we like the Lincoln Aviator?
Are we wrong to quite like the look of this big, American SUV?
Internet, we have a problem. Lincoln used this week’s LA Motor Show to reveal its new Aviator SUV and, well…we quite like the look of it.
For many years Lincolns were a bit…rubbish. But the latest Continental and Navigator look the business, and we’re reliably informed they’re not bad to drive or be in/around, either.
The Aviator looks to carry on this trend – this seven-seat, Range Rover Sport-sized SUV uses the Ford EcoBoost V6 giving 400bhp and 400lb ft, and will be available as a plug-in hybrid giving an extra 50bhp and 200lb ft. There’s a load of tech on board – including suspension that scans the road ahead to look for potholes – and the interior looks very smart indeed. And comfy – the seats can be adjusted in 30 WAYS, after all.
We’d quite like a go. Not that you’ll ever be able to buy one in Britain, but still. What do you think? Have we gone totally mad?
