Video: Ken Block returns in 'Terrakhana'

Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that we announce the return of Ken Block. Today, we bring you his new film: 'Terrakhana'.

And by our humble reckoning, Ken's outdone himself here - there's a death-defying feel to the film that we've not seen from Mr Block. Probably ever.

What exactly is a Terrakhana, then? Over to Ken: "It’s basically taking that driving style that I do in the Gymkhana videos and applying it in other unique situations," he exclusively told TG.com. "This new one (‘Terra’ meaning earth)… we’re doing it in a unique dirt-type situation. I’ve always wanted to take that driving style and do different things with it."

Boy, does he do different things with it. It marks the return of the not-so-humble Ford Fiesta RX43 we saw in Gymkhana 8, and as recently as Gymkhana Grid last November. "It’s already setup with the Gymkhana style engine," Ken explains, "600bhp, which is more than I would normally have on dirt. It’s too much power…" Yep, KB remarking that he has too much power. The world has turned upside down.

"The suspension and tyre setup was what I’d typically use for this car on a gravel car; long travel suspension, gravel rally tyres," he adds.

Next up is the location - the beautiful desert of Southern Utah. "This particular area called Swing Arm City was made specifically for people to go down and enjoy off-road vehicles," Ken explains.

For him, it was fairly familiar terrain of 'finding jumps, climbing up turns, various big rocks and lots of obstacles'. "There’s one hill that we call ‘knife edge’ that, if I were to go off the back side, it would be a 100ft drop to my death," he says, sort of matter-of-factly. "It was fun to do it in a rally style way – you don’t normally see a car up there."

So, that's the setup, now sit back, turn it up loud and watch Ken go absolutely nuts on the desert in a Ford Fiesta. You might need a sit down afterwards...
