Good news! The Dacia Duster's here

Hurrah! The fantastic news that the first batch of Dacia Dusters are now safely on British shores has just landed in the Top Gear inbox! James will be thrilled.

"The eagerly-awaited arrival of the ‘shockingly affordable' Dacia brand in the UK came another step closer today as the first batch of 22 left-hand-drive Dusters, destined for dealer display nationwide from 28 June, arrived at the brand's import centre on the South Coast.

To give potential buyers their first taste of Dacia, as well as the chance to have a good look around the Duster SUV in the metal, each UK Dacia dealer will display a left-hand-drive version from 28 June, ahead of the arrival of right-hand-drive demonstrator versions in late Autumn. Details of how the brand will be sold via appointed Renault dealerships will be announced in June.

Interest in the UK launch of Dacia and its initial two-model range of Duster SUV and Sandero supermini is continuing to grow on an impressive scale, with more than 5,500 people having already signed up for the brand's E-Newsletter within a matter of weeks.

UK pricing and specification for the Duster SUV range will be released on 28 June, with customers able to configure their preferred version online, including options and accessories, before pre-ordering it with a deposit of just £100. Customer deliveries will commence in January 2013, just as the brand's all-new Sandero five-door supermini also launches on our shores."
