We could try to pass off this special edition N24 as an important breakthrough in international relations between Britain and Asia. We could harp on about how it epitomises Aston's transformation into a truly global player.

But we're not going to because, in honesty, this is just a Gratuitous Aston Shot. And we're not sorry.

See, this is just the Aston Martin N24, exactly the same car as James May drove semi-naked across Europe - same 4.3-litre V8, same 410bhp, same roll cage.

The only bit that's new is the paint job, which has been slapped on to promote the Aston Martin Asia Cup, a one-make race series across the Far East for the N24.

But a paint job is all the excuse we need - especially when it's a paint job that looks as good as this one.
