Volkswagen Golf GTI news - Golf GTi in US sales drive - 2006

Volkswagen is taking over the minds of the US public to convince them that its Golf GTi is the car for them.

The company is using a Darth Vadar-style character called 'Fast' who sits in the passenger seat and goads GTi drivers to forget everything else and just to make the most of the car.

Fast is a small helmet in the films used to promote the Golf GTi in the US, but VW dealers across the country have been issued with their own Fast models and some have even ended up on eBay.

Everyone buying a Golf GTi in the US will receive their very Fast.
