Ford Fiesta ST500 news - End of the party - 2008
The Fiesta ST is reaching the end of its long and illustrious career, soon to be replaced by a younger, sleeker, Vervier model.
But before the ST is quietly put to sleep and sold off to the local glue factory, Ford has released a special edition of its hot supermini to remind us why we'll miss it so much.
Called the ST500 - and you'll remember that Ford released a Focus ST500 last autumn - it gets a grey-on-black paintjob, red brake calipers, carbon-fibre style interior and, best of all, 17-inch black alloy wheels.
Black alloys are cool.
The ST500 will cost £15,000 and is limited to - yep, you guessed it - a mere 500 cars.
Mechanically it's all stock Fiesta ST, so the 148bhp two-litre engine remains untouched. If we ask nicely, can we get it Mountuned?
