Watch: Ford RS200 Evo 2 crashes at Goodwood

The 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed is well underway, and today, we bring you some sad news. A legendary Ford RS200 Evo 2 has crashed while on its merry way up the hill.

Thankfully, the driver – four-time British Rallycross champion Pat Doran, and a man who knows his way around a corner – was unharmed, and climbed out of the car to applause from the relieved Goodwood crowd.

The car however, um, not so much. But then, it is a bloody handful. Being an Evo, it’s got upwards of 600bhp from a 2.1-litre turbo’d four-pot, with a complicated four-wheel-drive system and much Eighties-era engineering madness. It also happens to look the nuts, too.
