Kia teases new urban hatchback concept
Kia has revealed the first images of a concept car it has built for the Geneva Motor Show. Look up, in the gallery above. That's it. And that's all we know.
The purveyor of our Reasonably Priced Car (of which you'll get to see more of very soon) is taking the concept of mystery to mischievous highs, hinting only that "Kia's newest concept vehicle is guaranteed to attract attention".
It's a stubby, squat, fighty little thing, isn't it? It's also the first Kia concept to emerge following design director Peter Schreyer's ascent to the top of the Kia tree - he's one of three company presidents, signalling Kia's intent to be very much about the looks.
It clearly takes the whole ‘tiger-nose' face Kia has championed across the likes of the Sportage, cee'd and Optima, and morphs it into a very cool, very angry, small hatchback. Engine wise, we've got our fingers very much crossed it'll feature the same 3.3-litre, 390bhp turbocharged V6 we saw in the Kia GT concept from Frankfurt a couple of years back. Remember that? It was rather smashing.
As we've said, there's literally no other information - it will be drip fed in the run up to the Geneva show in March - so until then, why not engage in some delightful discourse in the comment space below. Kia's certainly coming along strongly these days...
