German maker Borgward is back!
There's been plenty to whet our appetites for the Geneva motor show so far. Kicking off in three weeks, the Focus RS, Ferrari 488 and Cayman GT4 would be more than enough to keep us occupied when the hall doors swing open.
Happily, though, all manner of other stuff is coming. And this is the most intriguing thus far. It's a teaser video from German manufacturer Borgward, though with a distinctly English voiceover ramping up the anticipation and drama.
"Who, or what, or how, is Borgward?", we hear you ask. Well, the Bremen-based company made luxury cars up until bankruptcy in 1961, hitting a sales peak in the Fifties. It sold over a million cars, a mix of saloons and sports cars, including the pretty and quite Porsche-like 1500 Hansa coupe, which competed at the Le Mans 24 Hours.
This video above doesn't tell us an awful lot about what to expect, but with Audi, BMW, Mercedes and VW such big forces, our hunch is that Borgward will be a far more niche manufacturer.
What do you reckon Borgward should do? And can its cars stand a chance?
