Want to drive Lamborghini's LMDh prototype? Now you can... in CSR Racing 2
It's either this or you try your hand at securing a WEC race seat if you fancy a go in the SC63
For the first time in the manufacturer’s history, Lamborghini is competing in the top categories of both the World Endurance Championship and IMSA Sports Car Championship. It’s doing so with the fearsome SC63 LMDh prototype, a vehicle about as unattainable as they get. Unless you’re a gamer.
You see, Lamborghini has partnered with mobile gaming publisher Zynga to bring the SC63 exclusively to CSR Racing 2, a drag-focused iOS and Android racer that’s been at the top of the genre charts since its release in 2016.
This being a drag racer, don’t expect to get too sweaty figuring out perfect racing lines or how much counter-steer is needed out of corners. It’s as much a car collection experience as a racing game, with hundreds of vehicles on the roster for the SC63 to compete against.
The partnership deal extends to Lamborghini Iron Lynx’s drivers and liveries, so you can race the authentic version of the SC63 in-game. You’ll also see CSR Racing 2 branding on the car liveries and driver overalls when Lamborghini Iron Lynx competes in real life this year.
“We trust that the Lamborghini SC63 will be an important model of CSR2,” says Lamborghini marketing director Christian Mastro in an official announcement.
“Following on from the success of some of our most famous super sportscars such as the Aventador and Huracán. Thanks to the SC63, we have the unique opportunity to give gamers around the world the chance to compete with our brand-new racing prototype.”
