Ubi’s imminent Crew Motorfest lets you import all your cars over from The Crew 2
It’s your last week to stock up on cars, Crew 2 players
The Crew Motorfest launches on 14 September and Ubisoft’s giving Crew 2 players a significant incentive to make their way out to virtual Hawaii for the new game - a car collection import feature that lets you hold onto every vehicle you bought in the previous game and use them in Motorfest without the need to re-buy.
So now’s the time to go on a splurge, drain the credits and buy everything you can afford. The collection import feature also covers vanities like exhaust smoke colours and lighting.
Here’s how it works: the first time you launch The Crew Motorfest, if you have The Crew 2 installed you’ll be asked if you want to either start from scratch, or import all your vehicles and vanities only. This is a non-reversible action, so your cars are imported for good once you press the button.
However, if you don’t import them right away you can still use the collection import feature at a later date.
This is where it gets tricky, though: while all cars and items from season 9 (so everything prior to 5 July 2023) are imported over immediately, newer content from after 5 July won’t be available to import into The Crew Motorfest until 6 December onwards.
You can find more details on how the import feature works on this Ubisoft blog post, which also clarifies that performance parts don’t carry over. So anyone who grinded away for gold parts in the last game has that all to look forward to again on the island of Oahu.
