Gaming: GT Manager mobile is getting a vastly expanded PC version
The Tiny Digital Factory brings a winning formula from mobile to the big(ger) screen
Driving cars? Boring mate. It’s just a steering wheel and some pedals, a dose of tedious adrenaline coursing through your blood and utter chores like pulling off overtakes. No, the real action is in managing the drivers, as newly announced GT Manager ‘24 knows.
Your sarky meter may have gone off reading that, but anyone who’s played Frontier’s F1 Manager games or Playsport’s criminally under-appreciated Motorsport Manager knows for a fact that it’s incredibly compelling to develop cars, hire and fire drivers, and pick their race strategies. We need more great motorsport management games, and Montreal-based The Tiny Digital Factory are only happy to oblige.
The GT Manager mobile game is the basis for this bigger, badder GT Manager ‘24 which releases on PC ‘soon’. It’s expanded in just about every area though, and features “more than 30 licensed race cars, over 20 drivers and teams", says the announcement press release.
The mechanics of managing your GT team have been deepened, with a longer-form play experience in mind. And not unlike a plucky Football Manager 2024 player taking control of Ebbsfleet with Champions League glory in mind, here you’ll progress up the racing leagues from GT4 all the way up to the Hypercar division.
The announcement trailer shows off several of the 30+ licensed cars from Porsche, Peugeot, Aston Martin, Alpine, Glickenhaus, Chevrolet, Bugatti, Lotus, Saleen, KTM, AMG and Brabham.
We’ll let you know when we hear more, of course.
