The 2016 F1 season is so much better in 8-bit

Making up for one of the dullest seasons in Formula 1’s history was going to take some doing. Luckily, Formula 1 has released a video on its official YouTube channel that just about does the trick.

Following the narrative of a 1980s F1 game, the video runs through the entire 21-race season, poking a lot of fun and arguably packing more entertainment in three minutes than the proper series could muster all year long.

As unnerving as it might be to find that someone in F1 actually has a sense of humour, we hope it’s the beginning of something wonderful.
