Rallying's best kept secret? There's more to Mallorca than foam parties

  • Mallorca might be synonymous with the writhing morass of sunburnt British flesh that is Magaluf, but it turns out the island also plays host to the Oris Rally Clásico where gentleman rallyists can play with their expensive toys.

Rallying's best kept secret is the Sa Calobra-Lluc stage in the spectacular Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, which takes place on what is surely one of the greatest driving roads in the world. In attendance this year: an ex-Francois Delecour 1987 Group A BMW M3, the always entertaining Metro 6R4 and the now-not-so-new New Stratos. Certainly beats a two-day Sambuca hangover...
