Yes, this is a Polestar AIRSHIP

Winners of Polestar's first Design Contest announced

Published: 12 Nov 2020

Welcome to the future. Well, the future according to the winners of Polestar’s first Design Contest, anyway. A few months back the company challenged design professionals and students to come up with “a vision of Polestar's evolution in the year 2040” – not necessarily a car – around the theme of “purity”. Now the results are in. And they’re wild.

Siddhesh Bhogale, from India, won the student category with his Polestar airship. Yup, a Polestar AIRSHIP, which Bhogale posits could be used to connect a network of remote research facilities in the Arctic.

Winner of the professional category is Konrad Cholewka from Poland with his “MMXL” autonomous pod thing, which draws inspiration from the Polestar Precept. The company also gave an honourable mention to Arthur Martins from Brazil and his “Spänning” yacht.

Flick through the gallery (you'll need to go full-screen) to see what these mad designs are all about. They will be immortalised as 1/5 scale models and displayed in Polestar Spaces (shops/dealers, effectively) in Europe, China and North America.
