Suzuki teases SUV concept
This is the new Suzuki SUV. Sort of. The Japanese carmaker has teased a concept dubbed the ‘iV-4', set to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
And when you see the full thing, it will be, Suzuki tells us, a fine indication of what an actual, all-new production version of a ‘zuki SUV will look like. Exciting.
At this point, all we have is the shot above, and a few details: it will inherit "certain design features" of current Suzuki SUVs, such as the clam-shell shaped bonnet and front grille divided into five, while overall the styling will convey "a sense of modernity and innovativeness".
We've also been told the theme of developing this concept, and it's called ‘grab your field'; make of that what you will. No word on engines, but expect either a 1.6 or 2.4-litre petrol, or a 1.8/2.0-litre diesel. You could expect a modified Hayabusa engine strapped to each axle too, but that'd just be silly. Or would it...
We'll have more from Frankfurt as the show creeps up on us, so stay tuned.
