Do you prefer the new LR Defender or old DC100 concept?

The new Land Rover Defender looks pretty tremendous. So, Land Rover has pulled off the impossible – replacing the iconic Defender with a car that doesn’t fill the internet cauldron with boiling bile and a dash of vitriol.

Weirdly, in 2011 Land Rover revealed a concept car showcasing what, potentially, just maybe, a possible Defender-like reincarnation could look like. Perhaps. It was called the DC100, and the die-hards were not happy. Too smooth, too trendy, too urban, they cried. “Do not”, they protested, “make anything that looks like that ever again.”

Anyway, here we are in the autumn of 2019 and we can gaze upon the new Defender and eight-year-old DC100 concept side-by-side. Tell us, which did it better? And are there any details you wish Land Rover had included on the new Defender?
