Watch Lewis Hamilton drive a Ferrari F1 car for the first time
You’ve seen Lewis with an F40, now - finally - here he is wearing rosso Ferrari overalls
“There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever,” said Lewis Hamilton upon starting his first day at the new job. That job being a driver for the most famous Formula One team of them all: Ferrari.
Standing outside Enzo’s old office in front of an F40 - his favourite Ferrari, apparently - you’ve all seen the image of Lewis dressed like he’s about to make you an offer you can’t refuse. Oh, you haven’t? Here you go.
Now, the seven-time champion has pulled on the iconic red race suit and strapped himself into a Ferrari F1 car for the first time to go on a little tour around Fiorano, Ferrari’s home circuit.
Apparently he took a hotride in Ferrari’s 2023’s rosso contender, a car that in Leclerc and Sainz’s hands finished 5th and 7th respectively that season. It’s Lewis’s first taste of a race-bred Ferrari engine after an entire career powered by Mercedes.
“We start a new chapter in the history of this iconic team, and I can’t wait to see what story we will write together,” said Lewis after his first day at his new job.
