Video: Max Verstappen takes to the slopes... in an F1 car
One RB7, a ski course, snow chains and some donuts. Yep, this actually happened
You can’t tell these kids anything, eh? As soon as there’s any hint of snow, they’re out there doing ragged donuts in Sainsbury’s carparks and generally causing mischief. And Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen is not different. Except that he gets to use his company car.
Yep, as of a couple of hours ago, Verstappen managed to drive his RB7 F1 car down the legendary Streif ski course in Kitzbühel. Not your usual Thursday morning outing.
The car itself had to be transported up to the specified section of the world-famous Hahnenkamm by helicopter, crane and chairlift, and came equipped with studded Pirelli Sport tyres and snow chains. Yep, that’s snow chains on an F1 car.
Ride-height has also been increased, though it looks like Max still had his hands full controlling the 800bhp even with the extra traction. A pure PR stunt, but not a bad day at work. And he even had his own dedicated area for donuts...
