Woah, check out Hyundai’s new flagship Grandeur saloon
Long live saloons! Although as ever the Grandeur won’t come to the UK. Boo
Well, this isn’t fair is it? Just as we bemoan the demise of the four-door saloon on our shores, Hyundai comes up with this glorious seventh-generation Grandeur for South Korea and the Middle East (where it’s badged as the Azera).
We’ve no technical details as yet, though there's more than enough to take in of the exterior. The face is straight from the futuristic Staria minivan, while Hyundai says that “one of the model’s most prominent aspects is its pure volume and excellent sense of proportions”. Yep, it’s large.
The Grandeur is Hyundai’s flagship saloon in Korea, and it does rather make you question the whole existence of Genesis. Anyway, that’s a story for another day. The new seventh-gen iteration also gets a full-width lightbar across its rear, with super clean surfaces and flush door handles down the sides. Great wheels too.
Inside there’s some lovely ambient lighting and pattern detailing on the doors, while the three separate screens cover off dials, infotainment and climate control. Super smart-looking isn’t it?
