This is the updated Vauxhall Zafira Tourer

Semi-premium MPV gets new Astra's nose plus new tech

Published: 02 Jun 2016

Stylish MPVs – or at least, MPVs that aren’t massively embarrassing to be seen in – used to be few and far between. But times are changing. The Ford S-Max, Citroen Picasso and Renault Espace (which we don’t get in the UK. Boo) are all, by MPV standards anyway, relatively stylish. And now there’s this: the facelifted Vauxhall Zafira Tourer.

Not bad, is it? The front-end is new, and more closely resembles that of the Astra, and there’s new tech. Inside you get Vauxhall's latest infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and OnStar, plus a 4G-powered WiFi hotspot to keep your offspring amused. Those new headlights are of the adaptive LED variety, and you can spec adaptive dampers, radar-guided cruise control and many other systems besides.

Everything else stays as is, which means you get seating for seven, many cubbyholes in which to lose things and a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The updated Zafira Tourer reaches showrooms this October.
