Karma unveils the four-door Gyesera with 590bhp and 250 miles of range
It’s rumoured to start at around £130,000 for each of the 2,000 units, with deliveries expected in 2025
Karma has revealed its much-anticipated Gyesera; a four-door, all-electric grand tourer seen as the modern reinterpretation of the failed Fisker Karma project from the early 2010s.
So, what are we looking at? The Gyesera has a 590bhp powertrain which makes for a 4.2s sprint to 60 en route to a 135mph top speed. You’ve also got a 120kWh battery that’s good for around 250 miles of range. Though, all these figures remain theoretical for now, so we could just end up with a 300mph top speed and 50 miles of range. You never know, stranger things have happened.
It’s also quite handsome, isn’t it? Beneath the elegant carbon silhouette and low-slung stance sits an aluminium composite space frame chassis, the effect of which is a kerb weight of 2.4 tonnes (or 100kg more than the Porsche Taycan). The claimed 693 torques should come in handy, then.
Fortunately, the Gyesera does claw some brownie points back with the welcoming interior. Here, a long central reservation can be seen between the front passenger seats and bridges with the minimalist dashboard via the infotainment screen.
Interested? You can now reserve your slot for one of the (estimated) 2,000 units, with each rumoured to cost between £130,000 and £180,000 - comparable to the Taycan range from which it’ll hope to steal some market share.
Deliveries are expected to commence in 2025, with the Karma Kaveya hypercar also set to join the fleet in the coming years.
