This is the Karma Amaris: a two-door, range-extended coupe coming later this year
It snatches design traits from the Kaveya, and tops out at 165mph
Karma is back at it again with the handsome previews. This one’s called the ‘Amaris’, and it’s a two-door extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) that’s apparently going into production towards the end of this year.
Built around an aluminium space frame, the Amaris’ powertrain includes a turbocharged four-cylinder for support, which helps make for a 0-62 time of 3.5s and a top speed of 165mph. Brisk.
But, more importantly, look at it. The design apparently “follows in the footsteps” of the Kaveya. The clamshell bonnet is met lower down by a feature line which starts at the tip of its nose and stretches right towards the rear track. We’re even seeing a bit of Jaguar XKR there.
Other bits worth mentioning are the 22in ‘Constellation’ forged aluminium alloys and the Americana-style side exhausts, both adding plenty of presence. That taillight cluster isn’t too dissimilar to the original Fisker Karma either.
Karma has also used the launch to announce a reshuffle to its line-up: the Gyesera four-door saloon, which was expected to be an EV, will also get a similar EREV powertrain to the Amaris. Its launch will also be brought forward to this year, while the Kaveya coupe takes a back step, now expected in 2027.
