Here’s your first look at the new Skoda Superb

Skoda has released some sketches of the upcoming Superb, and we’re told that it now “provides an even more emotive look”. If that emotion is ‘satisfaction at seeing the most practical thing imaginable’ we reckon we’d agree.

Doesn’t it just look so wonderfully sensible? Especially as an estate. We’re told that there are new “dynamic proportions” too though, as well as LED lights front and rear.

“The exterior sketches show first features of the new Modern Solid design language,” says design boss Oliver Stefani. “They thus underscore Škoda Auto’s dedication to evolving its design philosophy while at the same time staying true to the renowned brand values such as practicality and spaciousness.

"The even longer and taller fourth-generation Superb comes with an enhanced aerodynamic performance and numerous highlights.”

The full reveal of the even-more-practical Superb – which Skoda now describes as its ICE flagship – will apparently take place on 2 November. We’re already planning our next tip run…
