Yep, the MG Cyberster concept is actually real
MG's EV sports car concept looks every bit as striking as we imagined
Just days after teasing us with official renderings, MG has shown us what its Cyberster electric concept looks like in real life ahead of its Shanghai Motor Show debut later this month. Quite a thing, huh?
Though it hasn’t offered more information than we already know – a 0–62mph time of sub-3.0secs and claimed range of up to 500 miles - it's given us a better look at its reimagined MG roadster for the electric age. That front grille is rather more in-yer-face than we were expecting...
We also get a better look at the ‘interactive gaming cockpit’, which separates driver and passenger and gives the former multiple screens and a gamepad-style steering wheel. Presumably you can't just press reset if you crash, though.
There’s also ‘Zero Gravity’ seats with ‘floating’ head restraints – think of them as soft, puffy clouds – while the red seats, door panels and leather handles shout almost as loudly as the LED strips running down the side of the car.
Crying out for a starring role in a third Tron film, perhaps. Or has MG overegged its MGB for the 2020s?
