Here's the Ford Mach-E amongst its Mustang siblings

Should it be badged a Mustang or not? Let Ford's own picture help you decide

Published: 18 Nov 2019

When is a Mustang not a Mustang? When it’s an electric SUV with five doors, according to a good portion of the internet. “This car has absolutely nothing in common with the Mustang,” reads perhaps the most polite and succinct of the comments below our ‘Stang Mach-E story.

Flattering or not? The E certainly looks a lot less fussy than the Shelby GT350 and GT500 that bookend the picture, shorn as it is of their vents, wings and stickers. And a grille, of course. But then its comparative size and weight are also conspicuously evident alongside its slinkier sports car siblings.

So, over to you. Reckon it’s a real Mustang or not?
