Audi’s building a self-driving city car concept

It’s called the AI:me, and it’s not an April Fools

Published: 02 Apr 2019

Audi will build a self-driving city car concept, to be displayed at the upcoming Shanghai Motor Show. This is what the designers sketched out, presumably not on the back of a cigarette packet.

Because it’s a self-driving car and it’s set in the future, there’s a full wraparound digital screen, a Knight Rider-style steering wheel and a body that looks like an extra from Akira’s Neo-Tokyo. Presumably, there'll also be somewhere to sit - unless Audi knows something about future gravitational pulls where drivers just float in front of the wheel...

More as we have it.
