McLaren McCrashed

Published: 02 Aug 2010

Google Translate is officially our favouritest translator in the world.

After the masterful prose it doled out following the Ferrari 458 fierydeathnews, we have given it new foreign words to eat. And it has spat out comedy gold.

Simple story - a McLaren F1 was hitting some serious speed on a German autobahn when it swerved to avoid another car, hit traffic and smashed into two cars.

Google Translate story - "Sports car McLaren F1 sailed the autobahn", "came to a road traffic backlog", "and due to its high speed not brake in time went on two vehicles". "Regarding the car, who drove without blinking on the left - probably black/dark grey"

The police report reckons the McLaren's repairs will cost over £80,000 to fix. Considering its rarity, a bargain, you will agree. A rather teary bargain though, as - despite Google's ‘sailing' supercar - this is still distressing news.
